Monday night, Gundy and I were playing Call of Duty 4 multi-player and I ran into one of those “life choices”. I completed the multi-player level top-out (which is 56) and when you head back into your game hub you will be asked to make a choice….
It is CoD4’s Sophie’s Choice
Choose “Prestige” mode and you receive an icon next to your gamer tag that ALL will be able to view. But the drawback to going Prestige is you start back at square one, you keep your personal gamer score and ranking, but you lose ALL your perks, guns, , classes, and abilities. I KNEW this was a BIG decision because the game asked three times….

I should have continued to collect all the perks and challenges I was missing once I topped out level-wise, go for those elusive golden weapons. Maybe waited for Meathead and Gundy to catch up with me so we can all head back to Level One with the new cool Prestige icon. But instead I was in a mental “race” among ALL my buddies list and accepted “Prestige”, KoolRock you dumb ass.
I do have to say, COD4 starting back at square one is a bit of a challenge to get used to. My buddy, JediDan, told me that starting over in Prestige ruined the multi-player for him and I have not seen him playing COD4 in about six weeks. I find enjoyment in starting over, I feel like I am playing pretty good right now and the limitations of square one has not affected my enjoyment with the game as of yet. I find the limitations sort of re-freshing. I just wish I would have waited for “the boys” to catch up to me is all.
